*Please note that the leaf sections of 3A, 3C, 4B etc. have been done away with. The whole city has been divided into 4 sections. Your leaf section and brush section are now the same designation of I, II, III or IV. You will not have a different section for each. We hope that this streamlines the scheduling process and avoids confusion for what section each residence falls into.

LEAF COLLECTION SCHEDULE -

The City will provide leaf vacuuming once in the month of April and then once per month from October thru December.  All leaves should be set out by 7 A.M. Monday morning of the scheduled week. Collection could take place on any given day of the week, to ensure your leaves are picked up, please have them out no later than the scheduled Monday for your section. Check your mail box for a postcard of the fall collection schedule and the City of Ladue newsletter in early September!

Section I
Week of: April 17th, October 23rd,  November 6th and  December 4th
Section II Week of: April 24th, October 23rd, November 13th and December 11th
Section III Week of: April 17th, October 30th, November 20th, and December 18th
Section IV Week of: April 24th, October 30th, November 27th and January 2nd

Leaf Pick-up requirements

A scheduled city-wide collection will be made once in the spring and monthly starting in October through December, weather permitting.  Notification cards will be sent out in September for your fall pick-up dates.
Leaves must not contain brush, hedge clippings, sweet gum balls, vines, grass clippings, trash, garbage or metal objects as they cause equipment breakdowns.  Leaves must be raked off the road & spread out so that the back edges of the leaves are no farther than 3 feet from the road, and 4’ to 6’ in height.

 

PLACEMENT OF BRUSH AND LEAVES

Brush and leaves must NOT be placed on a road that accommodates vehicle traffic, piled on top of a hill or embankment or behind or near obstacles: such as hedges, trees, fences, mailboxes, poles and sewers. If your property abuts a public as well as a private road, brush must be placed adjacent to the private road & not more than 3’ from the edge of the roadway adjacent to your residence. (Ordinance #1288.)  If your property can only be reached by a private driveway, we will collect your or brush if your driveway can accommodate our equipment (which is 34’ long & 14’ high) & has an adequate turnaround area (either a circular drive or a square pad which is a minimum of 70’ X 70’.) If you wish us to come up your drive way we will need to issue a letter of permission. (Ordinance #1442). The City DOES NOT COLLECT grass, lawn/hedge clippings, sweet gum balls, refuse, trash, old appliances. Please make arrangements for disposal. All brush must be set out for pickup by 7:00 am., Monday morning of the scheduled week.
