Ladue Police Department MISSION STATEMENT

To provide efficient service to the residents and businesses within the City, under such plans as may be adopted by the Board and the Fire Chief, for the prevention and suppression of fire, the protection of life and property, the rendering of emergency treatment to the injured and ill, and the inspection and enforcement of building codes and ordinances.

MANNING OF EQUIPMENT

Manning of engine houses - The firefighters that man the apparatus work 53 hours per week. There are 3 crews with 10 personnel per crew. When at full staff our department consists of 32 full time firefighters. Each day, four personnel are assigned to each of the two pumpers and two are assigned to the ambulance. Both engine houses are manned 24 hours per day, 365 days per year. Both Chief officers work an ordinary 40-hour week and rotate being on-call 24 hours a day every other week.
