Building Permit Procedures
BUILDING PERMIT: Owner's signature and $100 deposit or the actual permit cost, whichever is less, is required. You will be contacted by the building department when the permit is ready and the total amount due. TREE REMOVAL PERMIT: A tree removal permit is not required for dead trees or live trees with a caliper less than 6". Tree removal on all new homes are ONLY allowed after the new resident permit has been approved along with the landscaping from the Landscape Architect. For a tree removal permit, owner's signature is required and there is no cost. You will be contacted by the building department when the permit is ready. OCCUPANCY PERMIT: is required before the business opens. Application is to be completed and delivered to Ladue City Hall. No fee is due. Call Stephanie Davenport, 314-997-6308, the day before you are ready for an inspection. Final inspection on a building permit must be done before the occupancy inspection.
SIGN PERMIT: The building owner or lessee and applicant's signatures are required on application. Two sets of plans are needed (site plan and a descriptive drawing of the sign). Effective January 1, 2009, a $100.00 fee is charged for all sign applications, except temporary signs. Refer to the Ladue Code of Ordinances #1912 and Ladue Zoning Ordinance 1175 for sign regulations.
